New Mom Padma Lakshmi Reveals Her Diet Secrets

    Lately, new moms who are also really busy with work manage to lose all the baby weight in no time. Think Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion and Penelope Cruz!

    In fact, they look even better after giving birth then they did before. Definitely not fair! Especially since people like me who have never had a child have difficulty losing 5 pounds, but that’s probably because I’m sitting behind a computer every day and stuffing my face with breakfast burritos.

    Top Chef host and new mom Padma Lakshmi who is 40 years old gave birth in Feb 2010 and her body is already back in tip top shape. She’s 40 and looks better than any 30 year old with no baby! Hollyscoop spoke to Padma at the Bravo upfronts where she talked about her routine in maintaining her fab body.

    She said, “I exercise a lot. When I’m not working I try to eat really clean and really healthy. I don’t eat a lot of meat in fact I really support what Stella McCartney is doing with the meatless Monday’s.”

    “I think that is a great initiative while I’m very omnivorous on a regular bases I don’t really eat a lot of red meat. I eat very lean protein mainly vegetables, lentils and rice,” she added.

    If I’m going to listen to anyone about diet tips it’s going to be a 40-year old mom because clearly she knows what she’s doing. It’s not easy to have a body like that!
